Proposed Budget: $ 800,000
Why this number?
The financing is divided into three parts:
Purchase 1 acre in a parkland setting, including access and services: $400,000 which may be contributed in whole or in part in kind.
Engage an architectural firm to handle the project. Re-engineering drawings and approvals including HVAC and energy-efficient features, while keeping the superficial mid-century-modern design, materials and details. Based on architectural drawings (c) James W. Strutt, 1959. Including a percentage to the Strutt estate for basing the design on the original drawings. Total $200,000
Construction, materials, with special attention to "retro" finishing. $200,000
A Start-Up Team will look at feasibility, strategy, planning, human resources and fundraising .
Contribution in kind is welcomed:
Planning, fundraising, architecture, engineering, codes and regulations, permissions, materials, or land.
Shares will be given to early participants.
There will be a discussion document and efforts will be made, as Kennedy said, "to achieving the goal before this decade is out".

The Goal is to build this James Strutt mid-century-modern (MCM) house designed in 1961 re-imagined with modern standards, while keeping the original cosmetic materials, fixtures and character. It will be a unique property which can generate ongoing income as a public space, or rented for special activities, to teachers, students, tourists or tenants, or appropriate services (studio, spa, co-working space, etc). To raise capital activities will include the sale of shares, and the use crowd-funding platforms.
